What We Do

CPM Scheduling provides Continuous Independent Cx, Re-Cx, Retro Cx, Energy Modeling and Facilities Management services in the Washington, DC area and throughout the contiguous United States..

Jim McQuade founded CPM Scheduling in 1998. He built a team of experienced Cx personnel to provide services for any type of commercial or industrial building.

To meet the current needs of the industry, CPM Scheduling has certified LEED® Accredited Professionals, Certified Building Commissioning Agents, and Professional Engineers with licenses throughout the USA. Since our founding, CPM Scheduling has provided Commissioning services for all types of buildings and with varying degrees of rigor.

History

CPM Scheduling, LLC (CPM) was founded in 1998 to provide independent Commissioning, Re-commissioning and Retro-commissioning services nationally.

In order to provide the needed resources for any size or type of project, CPM teamed with Engineering Economics, Inc. (EEI), a nationwide commissioning company.

This teaming also allowed EEI to expand their services to the Northeast area of the Country.

Principal

Jim McQuade the founder of CPM has relied on his previous commissioning experience to gain the credentials for this venture and has built a team of experienced commissioning personnel to provide services for any type of commercial or industrial building.

For those buildings requiring structural and envelope commissioning, CPM has an additional teaming agreement with Simpson, Gumpert & Heger Inc. a recognized structural engineering firm that specializes in envelope commissioning.

LEED^®

To further meet the current needs of the industry, CPM has certified LEED^® Accredited Professionals, certified Building Commissioning Agents, and professional engineers (with licenses throughout the USA) through our association with EEI.

Since our founding in 1998, CPM has provided commissioning services for all types of buildings and with varying degrees of rigor. We have commissioned all types of MEP systems

Design

An important aspect of commissioning is that construction drawings and specifications respond accurately to the owners project requirements and Basis of Design.

CPM follows the design progress and checks the design for conformance to owners stated needs and their intent. CPM reviews building system designs for installation, performance, operations and maintenance quality.

The Commissioning Agent acts as 3rd party reviewer who looks on with impartiality and as a result, assures best results for all concerned.

Build

Commissioning includes careful review of equipment and system contractor submittals for conformance to the Basis of Design and Owners Project Requirements.

The focus is especially on energy usage and maintenance. CPM also follows the progress of construction, as the eyes and ears of the owner and reports their findings to contractors and designers.

CPM conducts testing and issues reports as needed, to alert contractors to potential quality‐based issues.

Maintain

CPM collects information during the design and build phases. The Commissioning Authority, interprets, compiles and adds important details as needed, into a fully detailed Owners System Manual.

CPM also arranges, and participates or witnesses all training of building operators in the various HVAC, electrical, plumbing and building automation systems.

At the end, CPM works to make sure that the building systems are functioning as intended and that all necessary information and documents are delivered to the building operators and owners.
